Wedding Toast Speeches

Is it appropriate for me to give this wedding?
In my college public speaking class, we had to write short orations (toast, presentations, etc.). my cousin's wedding is in June so it was easy for me to write a toast, as if I was at their wedding. I never wrote with the intention of actually delivering it anywhere besides the class. My teacher told me after the class was wonderful and encouraged me to give at the wedding. I do not know whether it is appropriate if. Destination wedding is a small (only about 40-50 people) and, although I am a bridesmaid and very close to my cousin who is getting married, I feel like only the maid of honor and best man should give speeches at the wedding so small. Any thoughts. Thank you.
The custom is that cleaning and honor and best man give speeches, and parents of the bride and groom. However, since this is a small destination wedding, ie, more relaxed, your cousin does not care. Ask to it and see what he says.
