Father Of Groom Speeches
The wedding reception, the banquet originally called, was originally a way to celebrate the marriage and the union of the two families. The usual format is a greeting and drinks on arrival, after a meal, several speeches and cake cutting. It can then be a less formal celebration, like a dance or disco.
But wait! What I mean by "multiple discourses"? Who makes a speech? What should you say? And in what order should be the speeches? Giving a speech is high in many of the people "must avoid" lists, but because the speeches are a central part of the wedding reception have to make sure you get it right!

Wedding Father of the Bride Speech
The bride's father is usually the first to speak – but if the bride's father is not present, this discourse is usually given by the person who accompanied the bride down the aisle. In his speech, the father of the bride should thank the guests for attending, and thank all those who contributed financially to the wedding. He must congratulate your daughter on how it looks on her special day, congratulate her on her choice of husband, and welcome their new son in law for the family. That normally should end his speech with a toast to the bride and groom.
Groom Wedding Speech
The bridegroom responds then the Father of the Bride's intervention on behalf of his new wife and himself. He will thank the bride's father for his toast. Then they will thank you guests to come (with special reference to those who have traveled from far away) and their wedding gifts, and he will thank the parents of both. You must ensure that greets his girlfriend, thanks to his best man, and then thanked him and toast the bridesmaids.
Man's Best Wedding Speech
The best man then respond to the speech of the groom. He wants to thank the groom for his toast to the bridesmaids. Final Tips
- Make sure everyone has a drink before the speeches begin
- When you his speech, make eye contact with the bride and groom
- Relax and remain still – do not sway or to any other movements that distract from your speech
- Make your speech slow and deliberate – far more than the normal speaking rate
- Prepare your speech well in advance, and use notes -, but not spending throughout staring at pieces of paper in his speech
